Godalming Town Football Club are seeking to appoint a new Treasurer:
The Treasurer is part of the Management Committee responsible for the day to day running of GTFC – in addition to the duties listed below the Management Committee meet once a month in Godalming
Time commitment is around 8 hours per week
Location:
flexible, role holder will need to visit the club prior to and after home matches to provide floats and collect takings (Wey Court, Meadrow, Godalming) – roughly once every fortnight between August and May
The Treasurer is responsible for:
all financial aspects of the Club, providing financial, strategic and governance advice and support to the Management Committee
Duties include:
setting financial strategy
preparation of budgets
monthly accounts
quarterly VAT returns
banking and cash management
payment of suppliers and
collection of income (including preparation of match day floats and collection of takings)
The Club uses Sage accounting software, familiarity with accounting packages preferable.
Role holder should be a qualified accountant or qualified by experience
They are also seeking a new Club Secretary.
