Manager needed for the Villages Wednesday Club

We are looking for a new manager to run the Villages Wednesday Club day centre at Blunden Court in Bramley to provide a day out each week for elderly people living in the local community who are a bit lonely and isolated, or to give their carers a day off.

The role involves working with the deputy manager and a team of volunteers to provide a warm, friendly and caring environment. It also includes organising the activities, maintaining the records and carrying out the associated administrative functions.

The role also necessitates close contact with the members, their families and health professionals and may suit someone who has nursing or care experience or has worked with elderly people.

Whilst the role is voluntary (not salaried) a nominal amount is paid, as a retainer, each quarter.
