Waverley Borough Council has opened scheme 5 of the Household Support Fund to support households that are most in need with the cost of essentials. This is a national scheme funded by the UK Government.

Help available
Grants of up to £550 are available to households towards:
Food
Utilities
Essentials linked to energy and water (eg warm clothing, boiler repair)
Essential household appliances (eg cooker, washing machine, microwave)
Essential household items (eg school uniform, bedding)
How to apply
Households should apply using the online form, via the link on the Household Support Fund website page. If people need a paper copy or require help to complete an application, they can contact the Household Support Fund Coordinator on 01483 523204.
All applicants are required to provide details of a referee in their form with their permission and this can be your organisation if you wish.
People will receive an automated email confirming receipt of their application asking them to email a recent bank statement. It can be attached as a screenshot/photo. The team cannot process applications any further without this information.
This fund must close on 30 September 2024, or sooner if all funds are spent by then.
