Join our multi-award-winning Farnham in Bloom team and play a vital role in shaping Farnham’s response to climate change and the enhancement of local biodiversity.
You’ll work hands-on with a passionate team of volunteers, local schools, community groups, and the Council’s outdoor workforce to create a more vibrant and sustainable town.
Role: Community Enhancement & Projects Officer
Based in Farnham, Surrey
Salary: £28,163 – £30,060 (SCP 13–17)

Are you the right person for this role?
We’re looking for someone who is:
• Highly motivated, energetic and confident
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team
• A strong organiser with a flexible and positive outlook
• Experienced in horticulture and working with volunteers and contractors
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the Environment Working Group with key initiatives including Green Flag,
• Farnham in Bloom, biodiversity, and climate change
• Maintain and develop partnerships with local authorities and voluntary organisations
• Develop and deliver new projects and secure sponsorship/external funding
Implement plans aligned with the Council’s environmental and community objectives
