Role: Part-time Bookkeeper
Hours: Term-time – two mornings per week, for example: 9:30am to 12:30pm (they can be flexible on days/times). Very occasional work during School holidays as required
Salary: £13 per hour.
The Valley Trust is a registered charity with an office based in Bramley (Guildford), Surrey. They provide counselling services to children in primary and secondary schools across Surrey, Hampshire, Middlesex and Berkshire. Counsellors are all qualified, experienced and professionally accredited and as an organisation have an excellent track record.
The team are looking to recruit a new bookkeeper who is also happy to help the manager with some of the general admin duties.
What the role involves:
Receive all invoices and make relevant payments
Invoicing schools in a timely fashion and chasing any unpaid monies
All bookkeeping / annual accounts
Attendance at Trustee meetings (3-4 per academic year, usually held over lunchtime)
Help with general administration work as directed by the manager.
A bookkeeping qualification, ideally AAT
Used to working with more than one software package
Works well on own initiative
Our office is small and only operates with two people (the Manager and Bookkeeper)
Sense of humour and outgoing/sociable personality is desirable.
