Guildford Poyle Charities (GPC) are looking for an administrator to process and coordinate their grants to individuals. GPC was founded nearly 400 years ago and is still true to its original purpose of helping those in need living in central Guildford through the awarding of grants. The charity now awards around £135,000 a year in individual and organisation grants supporting the most vulnerable and socially excluded people. The two part-time staff are based at a small office in Guildford High Street. Please refer to our website https://www.guildfordpoylecharities.org/ for more information about our work.
To be considered for this role, you will have excellent computer and administrative skills, be well organised and able to work on your own initiative and be a good communicator. A basic understanding of the benefits system is desirable. Sympathy for the aims of the charity and a non-judgemental approach are vital.
