help them nurture, inspire, safeguard, protect and educate our young people; especially those whose lives are more challenging due to issues such as mental ill-health, domestic abuse, neglect or special educational needs.
We are looking for a Project Coordinator who can support our Collaboration Managers with the projects that they are running. If this sounds interesting, please read on…
The Project Coordinator’s responsibilities will be:
The primary role of the project coordinator will be to assist and support the Collaboration Managers to plan and deliver Surrey Youth Focus’s projects and activities. This will include:
• Developing and updating project plans
• Liaising with other organisations (e.g. Surrey County Council, health organisations,
charities, Surrey Police) to help progress projects
• Organising project related meetings as appropriate
• Attending internal and external meetings to help keep projects on track and to
document action points and minutes as needed
• Gathering and collating information to develop case studies based on the work being
undertaken by Surrey Youth Focus in collaboration with other team members
• Maintaining spreadsheets and databases including:
o projects and activities register containing all current workstreams and chasing up
actions as needed.
o Contacts database
o Action logs
• Ensuring Collaboration Managers meet deadlines!
• The old adage of ‘other tasks as required’
Furthermore, having knowledge of and interest in the experiences of children and young people in one or more of the following areas would be helpful:
• Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
• Mental and physical health
• Domestic abuse, neglect, drug and alcohol problems, etc.
• NHS and health organisations
