Role: Community Development Worker at the Surrey Minority Ethnic Forum
Hours: 21-hour week
Salary: £23,863 per annum pro rata, 5% Pension
Location: Two days office based in Guildford, one day is on the field: in Surrey Heath in Woking in Reigate and Banstead areas
Surrey Minority Ethnic Forum (SMEF) is looking for Community Development Workers to join their team for three days a week.
Are you an experienced Community Development Worker who’s keen on working directly with multi-ethnic communities? Do you have good language skills verbal and written English? Are you flexible to work part time and do you have your own transport?
SMEF is looking for someone who has the skills to work on the following: – Identifying the challenges faced by multi-ethnic communities – experience of running a skill centred drop in for women – facilitating work with schools and children on identity and belonging – identifying community leaders and organising events – carious admin jobs related to the position.
They can offer flexible part time working three days a week preferably Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.
