Role: Admin and Finance Officer
Hours: 12 hours per week for 23 weeks between 21/09/2020 and 28/02/2021. These hours will mainly be flexible although largely required between 9am and 5pm, Mondays to Fridays. Please note that a small number of hours will be required during occasional weekend or evening activities.
Salary: £12.50 per hour
Location: Mainly working from home but some local meetings and support in Woking based programmes will also be required (according to guidelines).

Appeer Community Interest Company has been set up to benefit girls and women with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and other neurodiverse conditions and those around them, including their families and professionals. We are a not for profit community interest company, providing online and offline groups, programmes, events and resources for girls and women with autistic spectrum condition and other neurodiverse conditions and those around them. We are offering key support during the pandemic including peer groups, talks and events and resources for autistic and neurodiverse girls and their parents/carers.
We are looking for an admin and finance officer to provide administrative and financial support for our operations and for our staff leads including our CEO. This will include administration for our different programmes and activities, dealing with customer and further enquiries via phone and email, scheduling and minute taking for meetings and coordinating our online office.
Additionally, duties will include editing our website and online communications, creating resources for our programmes and client groups and financial responsibilities including invoicing and expenses. The admin and finance officer will also support the evaluation and feedback process of current programmes and be able to contribute to the development of further programmes and activities for girls, teens, parents/carers and women. The role involves working in collaboration with and to provide admin support for internal staff, including the CEO and girls’ lead, the parent/carer and communications lead and the operations and fundraising lead as well as customers and the general public. This is predominantly an administration role and financial aspects will likely comprise around 15% of the role. The admin and finance lead will mainly be required to work from their own home but may occasionally be required to provide admin support at groups and events local to Woking which will be socially distanced and planned according to Covid-19 guidelines.
The successful candidate will need to share our commitment and passion to safeguarding and for supporting girls and women with an autistic spectrum, condition and/or other neurodiverse conditions and those around them. They will have financial and administrative experience and understanding of office management systems. They will also have strong time management, organisation and problem-solving skills, have good written and verbal communication skills and be confident and experienced in using ICT programmes. The successful candidate will be professional and have the ability to work and liaise closely as part of a team. An induction programme will be put in place.
